Ready position in a clearer picture

This is one picture that I have found that shows the ready position for tennis. Things to take note your body should be facing the net, with your feet at least shoulder width apart and knees slightly bent. Your body weight should be slightly forward and your back strong. Both hands should be on the racket. This aids quick grip changes.

The ready position

The ready position is vital for getting your body set up to return serve, playground strokes and execute volleys. Yes not only soccer have volleys tennis too have. It allows you to react quickly to your opponent's shots, allowing you to push off the ball quickly. One thing for sure it is important that you have to keep your eyes on the opponent and the ball. But I know that is quite difficult at the start because of concentrating on the basics like the ready position and to smack the ball.
