In the recent US Open 2009, there has been many interesting matches and with the appearance of a Mother(Kim Clijsters) in the game that kinds of take away some or perhaps the limelight of the father (Roger Federer) made it even more exciting to watch as she ultimately won the current best players to gain her title as the new US Open champion after two years of retirement. Her championed acts have certainly inspired many and have even shake the decision of Justin Henin one of the greatest female players to come back and play.

There are also others who have been noticed mainly not for their good skills even though they have but for their actions and talking back to judges. The most prominent one would be Serena Williams who has been claimed to threaten one of the judges. Sometimes even the professionals can't their cool which actually they should to maintain the professionalism of the game. They can always be firm and straight but probably too much fire kind of burn others and themselves off.

New players emerged and even became a phenomenon. It seems short to me but well they were in the centre of the game when they are winning all the top players. One of such is Melanie Oudin the young American teenager. Another teenager who has done well is Caroline Woznacki who was the finalist of the US Open and stopped young Oudin from having her real good run.

New champions have also emerged such as del Potro and overall in the whole US Open, in all the matches the player who really has the most charm and style is none other than Maria Sharapova. The way she played and even the way she walked out of the court is always filled with that element of glamour that only she has it.

It was a sensational  final at the US Open when Roger Federer the world no.1 plays with the Martin Juan del Potro. If the later wins, he will be the first Argentine since many years ago to win a grand slam final. The final result he won. Things were slightly intense when at the crucial match Martin Juan del Potro challenged a decision to watch the video and the video showed that Roger Federer should not be given the point.

A small confrontation of the world no.1 and the judge was seen. After a while, the match has to continue the referee's decision was final as usual in almost all of the matches. Juan del Potro suddenly began to feel that he has that chance to win and he really gave his best serve that made him win the game later on.

The world no.1 was not too happy but he took his stride at the end and said that he was delighted throughout all the games. After all, he is still really the world no.1.

Let's not harp about how world no. 2 the previous several times US Open champion misbehaved and shouted at the judge for a call that she thinks is wrong. It was at that match at the crucial moment she lost to former world no. 1 , a mother, Kim Clijsters. Kim Clijsters played really well and has earned her a deserving spot at the final.

After two years of retirement her return has shown that even a mother can play tennis real well at the world class level. At the final she met the player Caroline Woznacki who stopped the run of the new phenomenon Melanie Oudin. Caroline was happy to be at the final as it was her first ever grand slam final.

During the final, Kim Clijsters has it all displaying the traits of a champion and not only that but also as a world no. 1. Her serves and returns gave Caroline a taste of Mother power and world no. 1 skills. Kim Clijsters won. She won it with real solid skills.

As the games move on at the US Open 2009, they become more exciting and despite all of these excitement, the world no. 1 still reign at his top continuing to win the games and going through to the next round. It is really enjoyable to watch Roger Federer play as one will know what is real tennis skills after seeing his match especially when he came back when he was losing a point or two.

The spot of the world no. 2 has also been change hands as Rafeal Nadal's win over Gael Monfils has made him got back his title that he has lost to Andy Murray recently. It was a real joy for him as fans can see that from his muscular biceps tightening with his fist clenched.

Andy Murray however did not managed to win and he has returned to his previous spot of world no. 3 and that he is also out of the game surprisingly. Some said it is due to his exhaustion that he lost. Probably now it is a good time he should take some rest.

Maria Sharapova was actually leading in the game and as I watched on, the score becomes further apart in favor of the young teen Melanie Oudin. Maria Sharapova has certainly showed some strong serves but her faults are too many that she has gave the game away. The young teen however has not all due to the former world no. 1 faults that she wins. She played the game well calm and steady for someone like her age.

Oudin of course has the home ground advantage with most of the crowd supporting and cheering for her. After she has won the game she jumped with joy and was later on interviewed by the press about her success. It is no easy feat to win top players consecutively especially fourth seeded Elena Dementieva and former world no. 1 Maria Sharapova. Next she will be facing another top player and the spectators are already awaiting for that match to see whether she will continue the run at the US Open.

Although Maria Sharapova was defeated at this match, she still has that glamor in her as she walked off the court with style that only she has.

Maria Sharapova continues with her strong serves and managed to win through to the next round after defeating Christina McHale 6-2, 6-1. The young America opponent was pretty determined to hold on to her lead but later on Maria Sharapova  overtook the score and she just moved on to win the game in an hour plus or so.

In the next match, Maria will be facing another American teenager but this time she is expecting to play with her some of best tennis as the teenager, Melanie Oudin had won the recent Rogers Cup Champion fourth seeded Elena Dementieva who had won Maria Sharapova in the final.

To be able to win the fourth seeded shows that this teenager may have what it takes. Maria Sharapova has been climbing up in rank to No. 28 and she has to continue to win to get back her title spot. For a player like her, I think she will be in top 10 soon.

Maria Sharapova starts like a giant at the US Open

Maria Sharapova smashed, served, hit the ball like a giant and it was a good game for her after winning Tsvetana Pironkova, 6-3, 6-0, in the first round at the US Open. Maria Sharapova has always been a favorite player at every game. She is considered the most glamorous tennis player and at the recent Rogers Cup, she managed to get into the final. Her best result so far since her injury.

US Open has always been a game where many players want to win. It is this desire that made the game exciting and interesting. Maria Sharapova was actually a former champion at the US Open several times. It may be at this Open where she will start getting her title and climb up in ranks again.
