It was an enthralling way to start the tennis game indeed at the start of the game. World No. 13 Samantha Stosur was actually leading the game 2-0 and was in great control until later on the teenager World No. 45 Sorana Cirstea fought back and won the game. After this match, the Romanians and Australians played the mixed double match which was a deciding factor of the game where they later won and stunned the Australians. They will be moving on to the finals of the Hopman Cup Opener instead of the hosts.
