Maria Sharapova and Maria Kirilenko advance to quarter finals at the BNP Open

The BNP Paribas Open has reached to the fourth rounds and it was the Marias' power that made the game interesting to watch. First Maria Sharapova continues to perform and won Lara Arruabarrena-Vecino 7-5, 6-0 showing a clear win game to book her place in the quarter finals. She will be facing Sara Errani whom she had met in the French Open last year where won to clinch the grand slam title. But nevertheless Maria Sharapova will most likely not let her guard off as she usually does.

Next we have Maria Kirilenko who has always been playing well at the games but had not really reach to at least semi-finals of major tournaments. In doubles of course it is a different story as she will usually seems to be the one winning the championship title for the doubles match. This time Maria Kirilenko had actually won Agnieska Radwanska. In the first set Maria Kirilenko won 6-1 in style but Agnieska Radwanska came back in the second set winning 6-4 as she is a strong player herself too.

In the third set both players serve and return continuously but it was Maria Kirilenko who won 7-5 in this exciting match. She will be facing Petra Kvitova.
