It has been an impressive victory streak for Maria Sharapova at the China Open as she went on to win S. Cirstea 6-2, 6-2, P. Hercog 6-0, 6-2, Angelique Kerber 6-0, 6-3 and Li Na the China favourite at the semi-finals 6-4, 6-0. Her powerful shots enabled her to advance smoothly in the games and she will be facing Victoria Azarenka the current World No. 1 at the China Open final. 

Victoria Azarenka also performed pretty well at the China Open and she won Marion Bartoli 6-4, 6-2 at the semi-finals to clinch the spot at the final. This final will be a repeat between the top 2 players in the World meeting each other when they were at the Australia Open final and now for the China Open title.
